Beware of the Dangers of Ain Disease, Here's a Prayer to Avoid It

- Ain's disease is a disease that comes from the eyes of people who have a sense of greed or envy towards us. Rasulillah SAW has warned about this disease. Rasullullah has also taught prayers to be kept away from other diseases.
Reported by the book Ruqyah Online Solutions in the Midst of a Pandemic by Ahmad Ahid, Lc, MSI, the word ain is explained linguistically, which comes from Arabic which means sight (eyes) or sight. Ain's disease itself comes from the eyes of envious and jealous people. People who have these eyes are called ma'in.
This negative view is what causes disease to appear in other people who are seen. People who have the disease of hasad will never feel happy until they see other people they don't like suffering. The suffering of people he doesn't like will actually make him happy. The following is a prayer to avoid Ain.

Narrated by Ibnu Abbas, Rasullullah explained the prayers that can be said to Allah SWT to avoid other diseases. In the past, the Prophet Muhammad SAW often said ta'widz (asked for protection) for his grandsons, Hasan and Husain.
Here are the words of the prayer:
God willing َهَامَّةٍ وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍ
Latin Arabic: U'iidzuka bikalimatillahit taammati min kulli syaithaanin wa haammatin wa min kulli 'ainin laammatin
Meaning: "I ask Allah for protection for you with the perfect words of Allah from all devils and dangerous animals and from reproachful ain." (HR Bukhari [3371], from Ibn Abbas)
The word 'u'iidzuka' in this prayer is indicated for men, while women use the word 'u'iidzuki'.

A'ūdzu bi kalimātillahit tāmmāti min syarri mā khalaq.
Meaning: I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of His creation. (HR Muslim and Ibn Sinni).
In the writing of Dr. Raehanul Bahren et al in Muslim Health Magazine: Closer about Circumcision, it is stated that this prayer can be read at any time so that we and our families are protected from other diseases.
Ain's disease itself, as stated by Rasulullah SAW in the hadith narrated by Ibn Abbas,
God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing لْعَيْنُ
Meaning: "Ain is right (right). If there was something that could precede destiny, surely ain would be the one that could precede it." (HR Muslim & Tirmidhi)
Imam Nawawi's book Al-Adzkar explains that this hadith confirms that Ain's disease is real and dangerous.
"However, everything is based on the destiny of Allah SWT, so nothing happens except according to His destiny. Therefore, other dangers would not happen except by His destiny."

Penyakin Ain merupakan penyakit yang berasal dari pandangan mata orang yang punya rasa hasad atau iri hati pada kita. Rasulillah SAW sudah memperingatkan soal penyakit ini. Rasullullah juga telah mengajarkan doa agar dijauhkan dari penyakit ain.
Dilansir buku Ruqyah Online Solusi Di Tengah Pandemi oleh Ahmad Ahid, Lc, MSI, dijelaskan kata ain secara bahasa, berasal dari Bahasa Arab yang artinya penglihatan (mata) atau pandangan. Penyakit ain sendiri berasal dari pandangan mata orang yang iri dan dengki. Orang yang punya pandangan mata tersebut disebut ma'in.
Padangan hasad itulah yang membuat timbulnya penyakit pada diri orang lain yang dipandang. Orang yang memiliki penyakit hasad, tidak akan pernah merasa bahagia sebelum melihat orang lain yang tak disukainya menderita. Penderitaan orang yang tak disukainya justru akan membuatnya bahagia. Berikut doa agar terhindar dari Ain.

Diriwayatkan oleh Ibnu Abbas, Rasullullah sudah menjelaskan doa yang bisa dipanjatkan pada Allah SWT agar terhindar dari penyakit ain. Dulu Nabi Muhammad SAW sering men-ta'widz (memohon perlindungan) bagi cucunya, Hasan dan Husain.
Berikut lafadz doanya:
أُعِيْذُكَ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍ
Arab latin: U'iidzuka bikalimatillahit taammati min kulli syaithaanin wa haammatin wa min kulli 'ainin laammatin
Artinya: "Aku memohon perlindungan kepada Allah untuk kamu dengan kalimat-kalimat Allah yang sempurna dari semua setan dan binatang yang berbahaya serta dari ain yang mencela." (HR Bukhari [3371], dari Ibnu Abbas)
Kata 'u'iidzuka' dalam doa tersebut ditunjukkan bagi laki-laki, sementara perempuan menggunakan kata 'u'iidzuki'.
Selain itu, bisa juga membaca doa ini
أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ
A'ūdzu bi kalimātillāhit tāmmāti min syarri mā khalaq.
Artinya: Aku berlindung dengan kalimat Allah yang sempurna dari kejahatan ciptaan-Nya. (HR Muslim dan Ibnu Sinni).
Dalam tulisan dr Raehanul Bahren dkk di Majalah Kesehatan Muslim: Lebih Dekat Tentang Khitan, disebutkan doa ini dapat dibaca kapanpun agar diri kita dan keluarga terjaga dari penyakit ain.
Penyakit ain sendiri sebagaimana disabdakan oleh Rasulullah SAW dalam hadits riwayat Ibnu Abbas,
العَيْنُ حَقٌّ، وَلَوْ كَانَ شَيْءٌ سَابَقَ القَدَرَ سَبَقَتْهُ الْعَيْنُ
Artinya: "Ain adalah hak (benar). Seandainya ada sesuatu yang dapat mendahului takdir, niscaya ain-lah yang bisa mendahuluinya." (HR Muslim & Tirmidzi)
Kitab Al-Adzkar karya Imam Nawawi menjelaskan, Hadits ini menegaskan bahwa penyakit ain itu adalah benar adanya dan berbahaya.
"Walau begitu, segala sesuatu itu semuanya berdasarkan takdir Allah SWT, sehingga tiada yang terjadi kecuali sesuai takdir-Nya. Karena itu, bahaya ain juga tidak akan terjadi kecuali dengan takdir-Nya."
