OUR MIDWIFE - Is the baby in your mother's womb breech? Don't panic, ma'am, check out these three tips that you can do. 

Generally, the position of the fetus in the mother's womb will continue to move. 

Approaching labor, these movements will bring the baby's head under or near the birth canal. 
However, on the other hand, the position of a breech baby is a condition where the baby's head does not go down, in fact it remains up when the gestational age is more than 36 weeks. 

There are several ways that midwives can do to get the baby's position in the birth canal:

1. Warm and cold compresses

Warm and cold compresses can be done when a mother's pregnancy enters the third trimester. 
Midwife Kriwil said that cold water compresses could be applied to the fetus's head. 
"So on the lower part of the chest you give a cold compress, then on the lower abdomen or near the genital area, you give a warm compress," said Midwife Kriwil via her personal YouTube account. 

This can make the fetus change its position because the fetus likes warm places.

"The hope is that the head is cool and the bottom is warm, so he will play for a long time," he said. 

2. Use light

In the second trimester, the fetus can differentiate between dark and light. 
The fetus also tends to be attracted to bright environments. 
For this reason, you can put light on the lower abdomen. For example, use a flashlight. 
"The hope is that if there is light there, the fetus will slowly turn around to look for light,"
"So that the position is so that the fetus's head is down," said Midwife Kriwil. 

3. Swimming

Midwife Kriwil said swimming could help optimize position. 
Because when swimming, our bodies can be freer and more flexible. 
"Of course this is for mothers who can swim, if you can't, just find another way," he explained.

Mendekati persalinan, pergerakan tersebut akan membawa kepala bayi di bawah atau di dekat jalan lahir.

Namun sebaliknya, posisi bayi sungsang adalah kondisi ketika kepala bayi tidak kunjung berada di bawah, bahkan tetap berada di atas saat usia kehamilan sudah lebih dari 36 minggu. 

Ada beberapa cara dari bidan yang bisa dilakukan untuk membuat posisi bayi ada di jalan lahir:

1. Kompres hangat dan dingin

Kompres air hangat dan dingin bisa dilakukan ketika usia kandungan mama memasuki trimester tiga.

Bidan Kriwil mengatakan, kompres air dingin itu bisa dilakukan di kepala janin.

"Jadi di bagian bawah dada kalian kasih kompres dingin, kemudian di perut bawah atau dekat area kelamin, kalian kasih kompres hangat," ucap Bidan Kriwil lewat akun YouTube pribadinya.

Hal itu bisa membuat janin merubah posisinya lantaran janin menyukai tempat hangat.

"Harapannya kalau di bagian kepala dingin dan di bawah hangat, jadi dia lama-lama akan muter," ucapnya.

2. Pakai cahaya

Pada trimester dua janin sudah bisa membedakan gelap dan terang.

Janin pun cenderung tertarik pada suasana terang.

Untuk itu mama bisa beri cahaya di bagian perut bawah. Misalnya pakai senter.

"Harapannya kalau di situ ada cahaya nanti janinnya pelan-pelan berputar untuk mencari cahaya,"

"Sehingga posisinya jadi kepala janin di bawah," kata Bidan Kriwil.

3. Berenang

Bidan Kriwil mengatakan, berenang bisa membantu optimalisasi posisi.

Karena ketika berenang, tubuh kita bisa lebih bebas dan leluasa.

"Tentu saja ini untuk mama yang bisa berenang ya, kalau gak bisa cari cara lain aja," jelasnya.
